In lowlying wet pasture with good views in all directions. A townland boundary with Skagh lies 110m to SW and a townland boundary with Corrabull lies 155m to SE. Moated site (Barry 1981, 84) surveyed by the ASI in 2000 and described as a raised rectangular-shaped area (approx. 15m E-W; 12m N-S) defined by a scarp (Wth 3.2m; H 0.8m) and an external fosse (basal Wth 2m; overall Wth 6.4m; D 0.6m). Relic field boundary follows the outer line of the fosse along the N side. Monument is visible as a tree-planted earthwork on Digital Globe orthophotos taken 2011-13 and on Google Earth orthoimages taken 28/06/2018. See attached sketch plan and cross-section surveyed and drawn by the ASI and Google Earth orthoimage. Compiled by: Alison McQueen and Vera Rahilly Date of upload: 30 July 2020
