Medieval church site (LI021-067001-) of Killonahan stood in centre of graveyard (LI021-067002-) depicted as a circular shaped area the 1840 ed. OS 6-inch map, possibly following line of early Christian ecclesiastical enclosure. Possible curving cropmark of ecclesiastical enclosure visible in field 60m NE of graveyard boundary wall on Digital Globe aerial photographs. Site of St. Senan's Well (LI021-068----) lies 250m to E. The Ordnance Survey described the church and graveyard in 1840 as following; 'The name of this parish is pronounced Cill Unucain (Oncon) which signifies the Church of Saint Onchu. The Life of S. Onchu is given in AA. SS. at 8th February' (OSL vol. 2, 390).
