In gently undulating pasture with good to moderate views in all directions. The enclosure is located 275m W of the townland boundary with Killonahan and 500m E of the townland boundary with Fanningstown, ringfort (LI021-055----) lies 300m NNW. The site is depicted as a circular fort (ext. diam. c. 35m) lined with deciduous trees on the 1840 ed. OSi 6-inch map, with E-W field boundaries abutting the N and S side of the monument. It is not depicted on subsequent maps. Inspected by the ASI in 2000 and described as having no extant trace above ground level. The bank and fosse on the S and SE side are faintly visible as a semi-circular enclosure (ext. diam. 28m E-W; 35m N-S) on Google Earth orthoimages taken 28/06/2018 and 14/02/2020.
