In pasture, on E-facing slope, in area of outcropping limestone. Roughly circular area (diam. 28.5m) enclosed by earth-and-stone bank with external fosse (D 0.4m; Wth 1.6m) SE->NE; enclosing element truncated by dry-stone field wall NE->SE. Bank (int. H 0.7m; ext. H 0.95m) is heavily masked by vegetation overgrowth SE->NW. Fosse, largely infilled with dumps of earth and stones, narrows along N arc. Interior, covered with trees and dense undergrowth, slopes very gently down to E. Field boundary runs tangentially to enclosure on W side. Removal of topsoil by mechanical digger has exposed a narrow stony band (Wth 2.5m) running along outer edge of fosse NW->NE.
