In pasture, on NE-facing slope. Sub-circular area (26.6m E-W) enclosed by two concentric earthen banks with an intervening fosse (Wth 2.1m). Inner bank (int. H 1.4m; ext. H 2.7m), best preserved WSW->N, has been denuded to scarped edge N->NE and E->SE. Bank has been pushed back across edge of interior SE->SW; interior now 19.6m N-S. Outer bank (int. H 0.65m; ext. H 0.8m), best preserved W->N, is incorporated into field boundary SSE->SW. Fosse, best preserved W->N, widens (W 5.5m) along S arc where inner bank has been modified. Breaks in outer bank at NNE (W 2.7m) and at ESE (W 4.5m) matched by lowering of inner bank. Interior, masked by dense overgrowth, slopes down gently to NE.
