In pasture, on E-facing slope. Roughly circular area (46.3m N-S; 44.6m E-W) defined by scarped edge, with an external fosse and counterscarp bank N->SE. An E-W field boundary truncates base of fosse SE->SW and a N-S boundary does same W->NW; site occupies SW corner of field. Scarp (H 1m; Wth 5.9m), best preserved along NE arc, lowers SSE->WNW (H 0.5m); from NNW->NE scarp has inner lip (H 0.25m; Wth 2.8m). Fosse (Wth 1.7m; D 0.2m), best preserved at SE, is crossed by causeway (Wth 3.9m) at NNE. Counterscarp bank (H 0.4m), of earthen construction, is best preserved NNE->SE.
