Situated in NE corner of a field of undulating pasture, with good views to W and S, two barrows (LI014-125/126----) lie c. 20m to the SSE. Site of Castle-Erkin (LI014-088002-) 190m to NW. Site surveyed by the ASI in 2005 and described as consisting of an oval-shaped area (30m NW-SE) defined by a scarp (Wth. 3.8m; H 0.4m) from NNW to SSE and by a fosse (Wth. 3.5m) at NW and from NNW to SSE, with an external bank (int. H 0.4m; Wth. 1.3m; ext H 0.2m) visible from NNE to SSE. The faint outline of the monument is visible on the Digital Globe orthoimage taken 2005-2012.
