The precise location of Cloghkeating watermill has not been identified. The 1654-56 Civil Survey of Limerick recorded that Margaret Lady Dowager of Castleconnell an Irish Papist was the owner of Cloghkeating which contained a 'broken castle [LI013-142---], a Mill seate, & a few cabbins' (Simington 1938, 479).
