Situated on a rise in gently undulating pasture with good views in all directions. The monument, depicted on the 1924 OS 6-inch map as an oval area (c. 50m NW-SE; c. 40m E-W) enclosed by a bank, has been levelled. Traces of the enclosure (34.2m E-W) are evident as a scarped edge (Wth 4.5m; H 0.5m) to W and E, and as an external fosse (Wth 2.1m; D 0.2m) to E. The interior surface is uneven and slopes down gently to E.
