The precise location of a Salmon weir in the townland of Court has not been identified. The 1654-56 Civil Survey of Limerick recorded that Gerrott Mc Tibbot Gerrald of Courte, an Irish Papist was the owner of lands in Court which contained 'one Salmon weare besides weare setts' (Simington 1938, 348).

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
The map shows the centre of the officially named townland area, not the monument. The government record does not identify the exact monument point.
