What is recorded here

Located in grassland, adjoining townland boundary with Ballynahallee. Recorded in 1992 by Celie O’Rahilly during field survey and described as following; 'Situated on a small isolated area of high ground, made up of rock outcrop, and surrounded by wetland. Located within the proposed quarry site just north-east of the east-west running bye-road at the south end of the area. Consists of some stone walls which are placed on the summit of the hillock. Their poor condition and the dense thicket off low scrub rendered interpretation difficult, but the walls may defined an enclosure'. Not depicted on the OS maps and no trace of the monument is visible on aerial photography. Compiled by: Fiona Rooney Date of upload: 23 June 2020
