In gently undulating pasture, c. 1.5km to SE of the River Shannon. Not depicted on OS historic mapping. Identified by Tracy Collins in 2006 during test trenching (Ministerial Direction Order A026/104, NRA Reg. E2308) prior to the construction of the Southern Limerick Ring-Road and excavated in the same year by Aidan Harte as part of Gortnalahagh Site 2 (Harte 2011, 4). The remains of this fulacht fiadh (6m x 5m; D 0.1m) consisted of a spread of burnt material which and covered a single trough which contained four stakeholes (Harte 2011, 4). A second burnt spread located c. 2.75m away covered an irregular-shaped pit. Radiocarbon dating of the site confirmed an Early Bronze Age date (ibid).
