What is recorded here

On an elevated position in an area of grassland 90m E of the townland boundary with Knockbrack East. Depicted on both the 1840 OS 6-inch map and the 1897 OS 25-inch map in the area of a trigonometrical station which marked the spot height 270 ft. OD. The site which was identified by Celie O'Rahilly is not clearly discernible on Google Earth orthoimage 28/06/2018 and may correspond to the trig. station or to a low stone which is visible approx. 20m to E.
