What is recorded here

The Poor Hospital of St. Laurence was described in the Urban Survey of Limerick (Bradley et. al. 1989, 334) as following; HOSPITAL OF ST LAURENCE - The poor hospital of St Laurence of Limerick is mentioned in 1434 when it was valued at 2 marks (Gwynn and Hadcock 1970, 353). The church of St. Laurence (LI005-017118-) or Cottyn was presumably attached to it. This hospital appears to be identical with the leper hospital mentioned by Lee (Gwynn and Hadcock 1970, 354).
