According to Urban Survey (Bradley et. al. 1989, 326) 'the enclosing wall of St. John's graveyard (LI005-017042-) has a plaque with an inscription of 1650 recording money given by John Creagh, David Rochford and James Bousfield for the 'outworks' of the city.'
