Graveyard belonging to St. Munchin's Church (LI005-017043-) in Limerick City described in the Urban Survey of Limerick (Bradley et. al. 1989, 328) as following; 'Situated in the north-west angle of the English Town. Although traditionally regarded as founded by Mainchin himself in the fifth century it is more likely to have been established in the tenth or eleventh centuries as a Christian church within the Hiberno-Scandinavian town. The Hardiman map shows the church as a building with aisle, side chapel and tower. The present building dates from 1827'. A graveyard (approx. dims. 76m N-S x 54m E-W) enclosed by a stone wall mainly lies to the S and W of St. Munchin's Church. Compiled by: Caimin O'Brien Date of upload: 25 July 2019
