Graveyard belonging to St. Mary's Cathedral (LI005-017015-) in Limerick City described in the Urban Survey of Limerick (Bradley et. al. 1989, 300) as following; 'The cathedral appears to have been established at the Synod of Rathbreasail in 1111 (Gwynn and Hadcock 1970, 90) but the earliest parts of the present structure date to c. 1180-95 (Leask 1955-60, ii; Clapham 1952, 29)'. A large graveyard (approx. dims. 100m NE-SE x 82m NW-SE) enclosed by a post 1700 stone wall lies to the S and W of the cathedral church.
