In estuarine clays on W bank of River Maigue, c. 60m NW of similar weir (LI004-03101-). Described by O'Sullivan (2001, 216 & 310) as 'post alignment, oriented NE-SW, c. 30m long. Constructed of fifteen roundwood posts, 5-10cm in diameter, spaced at 0.5-1.8m intervals. This is probably a nineteenth-century stake-net weir'.
