Discovered during a pre-development excavation (99E0173) at 23/24 Laurence St. by Donald Murphy (excavations.ie 1999:575). This structure measured 4.2m x 2.5m and was sealed by late 14th century garden soils. Found in association with a number of other medieval buildings (LH024-041068-, LH024-041069-, LH024-041072-, LH024-041076- and LH024-041077-), the remains of the Archbishops palace (LH024-041078-), two medieval corn-drying kilns (LH024-041070- and LH024-041074-) and a lime kiln (LH024-041073-). It was also exposed (05E0223) by D. Delany (excavations.ie 2005:1048) but is still preserved in situ.
