What is recorded here

Discovered during pre-development excavation at Nos. 26 - 28 Dyer Street in 1996 (Excavation Licence 96E0160). Excavations revealed a number of medieval occupation layers and clay bonded stone walls. The occupation layers had been cut by post pipes and stakeholes, which formed no discernible pattern. Finds recovered included pottery, leather, a bone needle and spindle whorls. (pers. comm.
