What is recorded here

Discovered during pre-development excavation at 24-25 Dyer Street in 1996 (Excavation Licence No. 96E0160). Excavation revealed medieval floor layers and a number of hearths. Finds recovered include bone and domestic pottery. The area was greatly disturbed by later activity in the form of a large red brick oven - kiln of 19th century date and a concrete wall dating to the 1950's. (pers. comm.
