At low tide, one mile N of Port Oriel Pier is a submerged wall (Wth c. 2m) believed to be an 'ancient harbour' known as Newcomen's Harbour (pers comm. Gerald Kelleher, Clogherhead, county Louth). Compiled by Geraldine Stout Date of upload: 23/04/2012
