What is recorded here

The main residence of the archbishops of Armagh was believed to be situated in this area during the Late Middle Ages. The building was destroyed in the 1641 rebellion. (Bradley and King 1985, 152) Compiled by: Claire Breen Date of upload: 23 August 2012

This remains an important historical record, but the official description says the monument is no longer visible or has been destroyed.

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
