Situated on the summit of a hillock in a gently undulating landscape, on land that was once part of the demesne of Monasterboice House which is c. 250m to the S. An earthwork that looks like a circular, grass-covered mound (diam. c. 10m) is separated by a berm from an earthen bank (diam. c. 18m) and outer fosse (ext. diam. c. 30m). It is visible on Google Earth (23/01/2021), and on older images. It may be a barrow and it was first reported by Anthony Murphy.
