Discovered prior to road construction (Excavation Licence No. 00E0905). This structure, which enclosed another structure (LH021-080-), was rectangular in shape (4m x 3.5m) and defined by a slot trench rather than post-pits. It and four others (see LH021-071----, LH021-080----, LH021-081---- and LH021-083----) appeared to have both domestic and ritual functions. A large assemblage of artefacts was recovered from the area of the five structures including 238 sherds of Grooved Ware which represented at least 23 individual pots, 30 flint scrapers, a large collection of flint débitage, a fragment of a polished stone axe and a small quantity of burnt bone.
