Located on the White River, Dunleer was the site of an Early Christian monastery which was burned and plundered by the Vikings. It was later settled by the Anglo Normans. (Bradley 1985) (See LH018-064001- to LH018-064011- for records associated with the early ecclesiastical settlement). Compiled by Claire Breen Uploaded 30 June 2021
