A castle at Tulloghdonnell (A) in Drimcar parish is depicted on the Down Survey (1656-8) barony map, for which see this web-page accessed on 9 May 2106 There is a local tradition of castle known as Bolton's Castle on Tullydonnell hill (IFC vol. 671, 104), for which see this web-page accessed on 9 May 2016 http://www.duchas.ie/en/cbes/5008857/4961324 A castle in ruins shown on Taylor and Skinner's map of 1777, but not on the 1778 edition. There are no visible remains and the precise location is not known. The possible souterrain (LH018-017002-) is associated with it, but its precise location is not known.
