What is recorded here

The following description is derived from both the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Louth' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1986) and the 'Archaeological Survey of County Louth' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1991). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research. Date of upload/revision: 17 July 2007 Large group of implements and waste by-products collected during field-walking of ploughed surface by D. Hodgers (CLAJ 1979, 227-38). Includes 2731 primary and dressing flakes, 963 cores, 407 burnt pieces and 328 flake implements.

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.

The map shows the centre of the officially named townland area, not the monument. The government record does not identify the exact monument point.
