Situated on a slight E-facing slope with the River Dee c. 180m to the E, and the enclosure was probably at the water’s edge at one time. The cropmark of a circular enclosure (diam. c. 40m) defined by a fosse is faintly visible in interrupted sections on Digital Globe (c. 2013). It is overlain by a NE-SW ditch from a field bank that is depicted on the 1835 and 1907 editions of the OS 6-inch map. It is also visible on OSI images (1995) and Google Earth (12/078/2013), and it was first reported by Ken Williams.
