What is recorded here

Located on a prominent rise in an undulating landscape. The cropmark of a circular area (diam. c. 25m) defined by a narrow fosse feature is visible on Google Earth (11/04/2010; 27/04/2011; 12/07/2013). The enclosure also overlooks Thomastown House, now called Knock Abbey, which incorporates a tower house but is a large Georgian mansion. The enclosure might be a tree-ring, and it is depicted as a cluster of trees on the 1835 and 1907 editions of the OS 6-inch map. It was first reported by Mathew Muller-Reynolds.
