In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.

Remains of cists discovered during construction work. The only cist which remained intact (L c. 2m, Wth c. 0.4m) was built of slabs laid on edge and covered by several lintels. The cist contained an extended inhumation, aligned E-W, with the head to W. Anatomical examination of all the bone fragments from the site suggest that there were two adult skeletons, one male, the other female (CLAJ 1970, 78).
The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
