The following description is derived from both the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Louth' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1986) and the 'Archaeological Survey of County Louth' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1991). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research. Date of upload/revision: 17 July 2007 Circular area (int. diam. 27m) enclosed by earth and stone bank (Wth 4.3m, H 1.5m) with external fosse (Wth 5m, D 1m). No visible ancient entrance. Hut platform (LH008-038003-) (max. dims. 3m N-S, c. 2.4m E-W) at centre of interior, with souterrain (LH008-038002-) leading from its E side. Arrangement of boulders to SW of hut platform may represent a possible hut site (LH008-038004-) or a modern shelter.
