What is recorded here

Excavations in advance of a residential development at Dundalk Racecourse (Excavation Licence No. 04E1180) uncovered five concentrations of archaeological activity. 'Area 4' contained a badly truncated spread of burnt mound material with associated pits, a trough with a stone-lined base and stake-holes. 'Area's 1 2 and 3' contained a series of prehistoric pits (LH007-184----) and 'area 5' contained a shell midden (LH007-186----).
