The following description is derived from both the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Louth' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1986) and the 'Archaeological Survey of County Louth' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1991). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.

Situated at summit of a natural outcropping hillock. Described (CLAJ 1904, 38 and fig. II) as a passage (L 6.7m) extending in a gentle curve from N to SE. At its N end the passage is blocked by collapse, but a chamber extends 4m to W from the NW side of the passage. At the S end of the passage, a drop-hole creep gives access to a lower, partially rock-cut passage (L c. 6m) which extends in a curve from N-E-S. This passage terminates in a sub-circular chamber (max. dims. 4m by 3m). The overall length of the soutterain is 22.7m. (See also LH006-105----).
