Sub-rectangular mound (max. dims 26m E-W; 15m N-S) with traces of L-shaped platform at W end. Situated in field known as 'Castle Field' (Jordan 1934, 214). The above description is derived from both the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Louth' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1986) and the 'Archaeological Survey of County Louth' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1991).
