The following description is derived from both the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Louth' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1986) and the 'Archaeological Survey of County Louth' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1991). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.

Situated on a slight rise in undulating ground. According to local tradition five stones formerly stood here, all but one of which were uprooted in the nineteenth century. The remaining stone (max. dims. H 1.1m, 0.7m by 0.4m in section) is orientated ENE-WSW. In a field fence S of the farmhouse is a second stone, now prostrate (max. dims. H 1.6m, 0.4m square in section) which may have been part of the group.
The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
