Fulacht fia uncovered and fully excavated by Jonathan King under licence No. 16E0446 during development works for the Center Parcs Leisure development. In poorly drained area of coniferous plantation. Site identified as a roughly oval-shaped spread of burnt material (dims. 10.5m N-S x 9m E-W) consisting of charcoal-rich soil and heart shattered stone. Excavation of the material revealed two troughs beneath the spread of burnt material. The SW trough was a large roughly shaped pit (dims. 1.75m x 2m x 0.7m D), a smaller trough (dims. 1.8m x 1.3m x 0.48m D) was excavated 1m to the W. Two smaller pits (dims. 0.9m x 0.8m x 0.3m D; 1.4m x 1.18m x 0.62m D) were uncovered in the NE quadrant. One roughly oval-shaped pit or trough measured 2.3m x 1.2m with a second small pit or trough measuring 1.8m x 1.6m x 0.47m deep. No finds were uncovered and the feature was dated to the Late Bronze Age.
