In pasture at the break of slope on the N side of a rise or small ridge, with areas of damp, poorly drained ground to the NE, S and W. Shown on the OS 6-inch maps as an oval enclosure (c. 25-30m E–W; c. 15m N-S). A dilapidated semicircular area (c. 25.5m E–W; c. 8-10m N–S) representing the N half of the enclosure can still be traced. It is defined from W–ENE by the severely degraded remnants of a scarp (H 0.4m at W, 1m at N), which was cut into the N-facing slope. Three mature beech trees are growing along the line of the scarp. It is not possible to trace the outline of the S half of the enclosure. The enclosure straddles a natural break of slope so that the S half originally encompassed level ground on top of the rise and the N half slopes down gently to N. There are a tree stump and a boulder in the centre of the interior.
