What is recorded here

Possibly associated with a late 16th/early 17th century bawn (LF025-006----) that lies c. 60m to the NNW. This circular tower (int. diam. 3.23m; wall T 0.75m; ext. H 3m) is built of uncoursed limestone rubble and it survives to string-course level. It is accessed through a flat-headed rebuilt doorway (Wth 1.25m) at NW, which faces towards the bawn wall. Internally six rows of rectangular nesting boxes (H 0.22; Wth 0.22; D 0.44m) are visible. Compiled by: Caimin O'Brien Date of upload: 18 February 2013
