What is recorded here

In 1462 it is recorded that 'Tomas son of Cathal O Fergail . . . was killed at Pallas Ford, by night, while pursuing his own prey, by a party of the Dillons' (Ann. Conn., 512). This ford was on the Inny River but its precise location has not been identified. Compiled by: Caimin O'Brien Date of upload: 26 March 2012

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.

The map shows the centre of the officially named townland area, not the monument. The government record does not identify the exact monument point.
