Within a burial ground (LF023-113002-), c. 30m to the NE of a Cistercian abbey (LF023-113----). One of a group of four graveslabs (see also LF023-113010-, LF023-113011- and LF023-113012-). This highly decorative, tapering graveslab (H 1.46m; base Wth 0.5m; top Wth 0.37m; T 0.11m) has been erected upside down and, as a result, the carving on its upper part is hidden. It is aligned NNE-SSW. Its ESE face bears a very fine, although quite worn, carving of what appears to be a series of four-legged animals with interlaced or foliated tails that form an X-shaped pattern in the centre of the slab. Another four-legged animal, with its head turned backwards and jaws wide open displaying its teeth, is visible at the top of it. Poorly preserved curving bands with foliage patterns are barely discernible on the rest of the slab. All of the decoration is contained within a border of nailhead ornament. The edges of the slab are defined by a narrow roll moulding.
