What is recorded here

On a NE-facing slope in pasture. A raised subcircular area (c. 80m N-S; c. 70m E-W) enclosed by a substantial bank of earth and stone (Wth 5.7m; H 0.55m) from ESE-S-NW and elsewhere defined by a low scarp (H 0.8m). A report in 1976 (SMR file) recorded traces of a wide external fosse and a possible outer bank but these are no longer visible. The original entrance is not evident. Compiled by: Patrick F.
