On the slightly S-facing slope of a low ridge in reclaimed pasture. Not marked on the 1837 ed. of the OS 6-inch map. Described in a report in 1976 (SMR file) as a large circular rath (int. diam. c. 43m) defined by a bank, intervening fosse and outer bank. The entrance was at SSW. A field boundary ran along the perimeter at E, where no trace of the fosse or outer bank survived. It is not visible at ground level.
