On a gentle S-facing slope in pasture. Depicted as a circular enclosure with the designation 'Fort' on the 1837 ed. of the OS 6-inch map. A raised circular area (diam. c. 39m) enclosed from NNW-N-ESE by a much-denuded, low bank of earth and stone (Wth 3.2m; H 0.2m) and defined elsewhere by a scarp (H 0.3-0.5m). A report in 1976 (SMR file) recorded a shallow external fosse; it has since been infilled. A break (Wth 2m) in the bank at E may mark the original entrance.
