What is recorded here

Beside the stile at the entrance to a graveyard (LF023-032002-). The lower part of a possible shaft of a cross has been cemented onto the top of the graveyard wall. The shaft (H 0.48m; Wth 0.37m; T 0.27m) is octagonal in plan with chamfered sides terminating at four bull-nose chamfer stops. A small tenon protrudes from the top of it. It probably dates to the 16th or early 17th century. Compiled by: Patrick F. O'Donovan, Caimin O'Brien Date of upload: 6 June 2013
