What is recorded here

Originally recorded as a substantial structure (exposed L 2m; Wth 2.43m) of longitudinal and transverse roundwood, brushwood (diam. 0.015-0.085m) and pegs. Excavation revealed that it was most likely the remains of a platform, aligned NNW-SSE, which was greatly disturbed by modern drainage works. A date range of AD 680-900 was obtained (Whitaker 2009, 73). Compiled by: Mary Tunney based on data supplied by Jane Whitaker, Archaeological Development Services. Date of upload: 26 August 2011

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
