What is recorded here

This togher (exposed Wth 3.16m; T 0.35m max.) was exposed in an ENE drain face. It comprised a transverse roundwood superstructure, aligned NNW-SSE, overlying a longitudinal roundwood and brushwood substructure, possibly aligned ENE-WSW. The elements ranged in diameter from 0.025-0.11m. Three pieces of brushwood lay 1.5m to the NNW and another 0.2m to the SSE. No remains were visible in the opposite drain face and no woodworking was evident.
