What is recorded here

Heavy roundwood and brushwood (exposed Wth 1.8m; T 0.3m), orientated NE-SW, was exposed in a WSW drain face. Lying directly on top were more than twenty tightly packed, uniform, small pieces of brushwood (diam. 0.02-0.03m). Two large pieces of brushwood also occured in the opposite drain face at the same level. There was no visible evidence of woodworking. Some 3.5-4m to the NNW, lying in the ENE drain face were three degraded roundwoods along with some medium-sized brushwood. These may have been associated with the former but their orientation and level differed slightly.
