What is recorded here

A togher (L 240m min.; Wth 0.3m; D 0.16m), noted in 1987, consisting of longitudinal thin oak planks laid end to end (orientated NW-SE) and supported by short transverse timbers. In some places the planks were stabilised by very small stakes placed through drilled holes. Dendrochronological date AD 587±9 (Q6696).
