What is recorded here

In low-lying pasture. A raised circular area (diam. c. 50m) enclosed by a substantial bank of earth and stone (Wth 5.5m; H 0.45m). A report in 1995 (SMR file) recorded an external fosse (Wth 4.2m; D 0.4m). From SE-S-NE both the bank and fosse have been incorporated into a field boundary. From NE-E-SE the fosse is not visible. The original entrance is not recognisable. The rath is densely overgrown with mature deciduous trees and scrub. Compiled by: Patrick F. O'Donovan Date of upload: 26 August 2011
